Financial Dimensions in Payroll Earning and Pay Statements - Payroll AX 2012

At times it is required to associate financial dimensions defaults for all the postings and submission of payroll information in AX 2012. As per our understandings, the financial dimensions are fetched from Human Resources > Common > Select any Employee > Worker position assignment (Button) Or Position can be directly selected from the Human Resources Module Human Resources > Common > Organization > Positions The default dimensions can be set from the following screen for Payroll posting earning and pay statements.

Electronic Payments for workers - Payment issuance AX 2012 in Payroll

If you generate electronic payments, make sure that the  Electronic method of payment   field is set on the on the   Payment issuance   tab in the   Payroll parameters   form, and that you've entered the bank account disbursements for each worker. For more information about worker bank account disbursements, see   Bank account disbursements (form) .

Clearing account concepts - Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Clearing Account (definition) Clearing Account as a temporary account containing costs or  amounts that are to be transferred to another account.   These types of accounts are referred to as "clearing  accounts" because their balance is meant to "clear" itself out  to zero periodically (e.g., daily, monthly, or yearly). Email Alert Settings - AX 2012

The issue with email templates encountered by us is as follows. - When we setup alerts template for email from Organizational Administration > Setup > Alerts > Alert parameters The selected Email ID will only be used when the created alert is not GLOBAL . That is, Organization-wide must not be checked for the alert if these defined template must be used for the specific alert. In case GLOBAL is checked, then the default Template setup in System Administration > Setup > System parameters > Alerts  Email ID  will be used.

Position Details for Payroll AX 2012

Few parameters need to be setup for generating Earning Statements and Pay Statements for the employees. The default setup should be as follows Annual regular hours - as standard must be setup to 2080 (52 weeks X 40 hours per week) Pay Cycle - The default pay cycle the employee would be getting the salary for Paid By -   Must be properly setup to hit proper accounts and avoid any errors for "No earning statements generated"  etc. "The selection criteria did not return any results."

Select the rate at which the earnings are calculated. For example Select Hourly for hourly earnings. If you are creating an earning with an amount that is paid over a period of time, select Pay period, Monthly or Annual. Select Flat amount for one-time earnings.
